Vicki Callahan is an Associate Professor in USC’s School of Cinematic Arts in the Division of Media Arts + Practice where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses focused on the integration of theory and practice with attention to issues of digital culture, social media + remix, transmedia, and media strategies for social change. She is author of Zones of Anxiety: Movement, Musidora, and the Crime Serials of Louis Feuillade (2005) and editor for the collection, Reclaiming the Archive: Feminism and Film History (2010).
Dr Sarah Atkinson is Principal Lecturer in Media and Film in the University of Brighton's Faculty of Arts. Her research is based in the field of Digital Film Studies and audio-visual narratives and has involved various practice-based explorations into new forms of fictional storytelling. Her interactive cinema installation Crossed Lines has been exhibited internationally. Her first monograph Beyond the Screen: Emerging Cinema and Audiences will be published by Bloomsbury in December 2013. Sarah is the current Higher Education Consultant for SP-ARK, the Sally Potter online archive, for which she has documented the entire production process of Ginger & Rosa (recently released in the US) which forms part of a wider investigation into the impact of the digital revolution upon feature filmmaking.
Jeff Aldrich is a designer of physical and virtual collaborative workspaces, experienced in coordinating technology applications for research projects in engineering and the humanities. He works with educators, researchers and multimedia artists to incorporate virtual reality technologies in their various projects. Maintains a long-term interest and involvement in virtual worlds and the questions they pose regarding culture, identity, memory, and the intersections of alternative “realities”.
Robert Foster is an Oakland based slacker and student . He studied under Vicki Callahan at the Institute of Multimedia Literacy while he was pursuing his bachelors from USC's School of Cinematic Arts. He now spends his free time recreating NYC in an unmodded version of Sim City 4 and making responsive websites.
